Living Room
Guests enter the house into the main central living room, which has plenty of natural light and lots of character. There are stairs leading to the first floor, comfy sofas and an armchair. A wonderful feature of this room is the double-sided wood burning stove, which provides heat and ambience to both this and the second living room.
Second Reception Room
Next door to the main living room is a second, smaller reception room. This double aspect room has plenty of seating with sofas, armchairs and bean bags provided. Entertainment is also on hand with a smart TV, a DVD player and a karaoke machine. Like the main living room this reception room also benefits from the double sided wood burning stove.
Ground Floor Bedroom
Along the corridor from the main living room is the ground floor bedroom. This bedroom features a double bed and has direct access to the ground floor bathroom.
Ground Floor Bathroom
Accessed either via the main corridor or the ground floor bedroom is the downstairs family bathroom. This bathroom is fitted with a shower, a wash basin and a WC.
Kitchen/Diner
At the far end of the house is the large, open plan kitchen/diner with all the self catering facilities you could need. This modern, spacious kitchen is perfect for large groups with lots of work surfaces and plenty of space for everyone to gather. Appliances in the recently renovated kitchen include an electric hob, a dishwasher, a double oven, an American style fridge/freezer and a smaller fridge for additional space. Please note the washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the games room.
The dining table within the open plan kitchen/diner lends itself to family and group meals and can comfortably seat up to 16.
Family Bedroom 1 with en-suite
At the end of the first floor corridor (turning right at the top of the stairs) is the first of four family bedrooms. This large double aspect bedroom has a double bed and two single beds. The bedroom also benefits from its own en-suite bathroom, which has a shower, a wash basin and a WC.
Family Bedroom 2 with en-suite
The second family bedroom is a good size and receives plenty of light from a large sky light. The bedroom has a double bed and an additional single set to one side. Again it benefits from its own en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin.
Family Bedroom 3 with en-suite
Closest to the main staircase on the left hand side of the stairs is the third family bedroom. This large bedroom has a king size double bed and handy additional single bed. The bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, which is fitted with a shower, a wash basin and WC.
Family Bedroom 4 with en-suite
The final bedroom on the first floor, which is located to the left of the stairs, is the largest family bedroom and also doubles up as the Master Bedroom. This tastefully decorated bedroom has a king size double bed and two single beds if needed for additional guests, there is even a bedroom separator to provide extra privacy if required.
The en-suite to the fourth family bedroom has a bath with hand held shower attachment, a wash basin and a WC
Outside
The garden for guests to enjoy at The Big Barn is a nice size and ideal for families. There is an undercover seating area with garden furniture, a boules court, a swing seat, a charcoal BBQ and a handy fenced off area ideal for dogs.
Games Room & Hot Tub
The games room, which is located to the side of the main entrance is great for those looking for a little extra entertainment whilst on holiday. The room is equipped with a pool table, table tennis, table football and a dart board. It is also in the games room that you will find the hot tub, which is ideal for a spot of relaxation after a day exploring North Devon.
